We provide STCW 2010 approved by DG Shipping (Govt. of India) and an Indian CDC (Continuous Discharge Certificate).
After completion of the training an exam will be conducted and successful candidates are eligible to Join the Vessel to Complete the Onboard training.

Entry Requirements: | A pass in B.E. (or) B. Tech in (Elect) / EEE and or Diploma (Elect)/ EEE with minimum 50% in final year & 50% in English in 10th or 12th STD or in the Degree Course conducted by the Board or any University. |
Age: | Not less than 17½ & Not exceeding 25 years as on the date of commencement of training. |
Medical Fitness: | Medically fit with eyesight 6/6, with or without external aids. Maximum power permitted (+) 2.5 No. colour blindness. All candidates have to pass complete medical examination and mandatory tests prior to joining at the Academy. SMA have panel of qualified doctors and requirements as per ILO Convention 147 Seafarer’s Medical Examination.Medically fit with eyesight 6/6, with or without external aids. Maximum power permitted (+) 2.5 No. colour blindness. |
Selection Procedure: | GWSS undertakes an Aptitude test followed by a CET of D. G. Shipping. The final selection will only take place after medical check – up through our panel Doctor, approved by D. G. Shipping Govt. of India. |
